C.A.R.B. Certified

All DuChateau Floors are CARB Certified made with a formaldehyde free adhesive. CARB Certification is committed to producing enviromentally sustainable materials.

LEED

DuChateau Floors is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that certifies sustainable businesses, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods. The USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education, with its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System.

Lacey

In an effort to control and eliminate illegally logged trees, DuChateau Floors supports and abides by the Lacey Act to ensure its customers the best quality wood flooring with environmentally friendly measures. All DuChateau Floors are Lacey Act compliant.

All Natural Oil

All DuChateau Floors are finished with Hard-Wax Oil. DuChateau Hard-Wax Oil finish is an ALL NATURAL non-pollutant, non-toxic, ZERO VOC finish with no biocides, no preservatives, and benzene free. It has the most environmental friendly benefits as a wood finish and contributes to a healthy living environment as it is produced from natural materials such as vegetable oil and natural waxes made from purified renewable natural resources.

FSC Certified

DuChateau Floors are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

Engineered Construction

DuChateau Floors believes we can all do our part and conserve the natural resources of the Earth with the use of engineered wood floors by eliminating the wasteful use of solid wood floors. Fortunately engineered wood flooring has become more and more popular, while demand for solid wood flooring is dropping.

Global ReLeaf

DuChateau Floors is a partner of American Forests, a non-profit organization whose goal is to plant 100 million trees by the year 2020. American Forests works to protect, restore and enhance the natural capital of trees and forests world-wide. DuChateau Floors allocates part of its profits to the Global ReLeaf campaign by American Forests to plant trees world-wide.
