Nano Glass

Nano Glass is offered in 2cm slabs. As a pure white slab, it is a unique option for anyone needing the cleanest, purest white available. It is created by pouring a mixture that consists of 75% silica into a mold to form the slab. It is produced in strips that are 400 meters long and fired in a kiln of equal length at 1,550 degrees Celsius. Once formed, the material is cut into slabs that are 110”x55”, then calibrated and polished. Any remnants are 100% recycled and reused in the manufacturing process. With a water absorbency rate of only 0.01%, it is highly unlikely this material will absorb any liquids. The fabrication process for Nano Glass is similar to that of marble,including the recommendation to use a continuous blade. For laminating the edges and gluing the slab to a substrate, it is recommended to use a clear resin from Tenax called Glaxs BM75. It is made specifically for glass and will not discolor in ultraviolet light.

Similar to marble and other natural stones, it is recommended to seal this material once installed to extend its longevity.
